CVITAS held a third in a row “Little Citizens Showcase” on November 19, 2016 in Sarajevo, which gathered 215 preschool children, their parents, teachers and directors from 16 kindergartners from all parts of the country.
Mr. Drew Giblin, US Embassy Attaché for culture and education, officially opened the program which started with mixed group of preschool children with special needs from both entities performing “We, the angles” dance, emphasizing every child’s right to attend the preschool education. Through dance and drama performances inspired by CIVITAS kindergarten textbooks characters, all kindergartens presented their successful practices in teaching the youngest about the core values of justice, responsibility, authority and privacy. In addition, the event engaged preschool children in short, educative and fun artistic workshops, while parents attended the workshop that informed them about CIVITAS work in general and concepts, methodology and benefits of our preschool civic education program.
